Role Overview

We are seeking a Firewall Architect to take ownership of designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced firewall solutions. The role includes shaping security architecture with a focus on segmentation, user-based access, and alignment with industry standards. You will lead firewall migration initiatives, ensure compliance with security frameworks, and act as a key escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges.

Required Technical Competencies

• Strong expertise in Check Point Firewall design and Identity Awareness solutions.

• Practical experience with user-centric firewalling and Cisco networking environments.

• Solid background in cybersecurity and secure infrastructure architecture.

• In-depth understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals (routing, protocols, ports, connection handling, packet sequencing, and dump analysis).

• Ability to perform log and protocol analysis for high-level troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of integrating Microsoft Active Directory with firewall infrastructures.

• Experience in working with log management and reporting platforms (e.g., Elasticsearch, ELK Stack).

• Proficiency in managing enterprise-scale Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and design comprehensive firewall architectures, including segmentation strategies and user-based security controls.

• Develop and implement solutions leveraging Check Point Identity Awareness for user-specific access management.

• Lead firewall migration projects, ensuring smooth technical execution and effective change management.

• Streamline and document firewall rule bases, maintaining governance using tools such as Tufin SecureTrack and SecureChange.

• Oversee performance monitoring, log analysis, and reporting to strengthen visibility and operational efficiency.

• Provide architectural support during internal and external audits.

• Act as the expert escalation point for troubleshooting Identity Awareness and connectivity issues
