Security Engineer

Lufthansa Systems is looking for a Security Engineer to join a team delivering innovative projects in cybersecurity and cloud technologies. Your responsibilities:

• Ensure security administration and operations of Lufthansa Group cloud environments.

• Collaborate with project teams to implement security architecture.

• Support in designing and validating the security posture of new and existing cloud environments.

• Participate in the continuous improvement of the security landscape.

Our requirements:

• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Experience with Terraform, Git, and Azure DevOps (ADO).

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Blue Team role.

• Experience working in cloud environments – preferably Azure or GCP.

• Understanding of major cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and cybercriminal tactics.

• Very good command of English (spoken and written).

• Readiness to work in a hybrid model: 2 days in the office in Gdańsk.

Nice to have:

• Experience with containerization technologies.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Familiarity with version control systems.

• Automation and scripting skills (e.g., Shell scripting).

• Understanding of key security standards and best practices.

• Relevant certifications (Cloud, Linux, Security Operations).

• Knowledge of German is an advantage.
