At Digital Hangar (Lufthansa Group), our mission is to create the world’s most connected travel experience – physical, human, and digital – across all Lufthansa Group airline brands. We’re leading the digital transformation of aviation by building scalable, innovative, and user-centered solutions that redefine how people travel. Now, we’re looking for an experienced Team Leader to guide one of our key software development teams (c.a. 20 experts) — empowering them to deliver impactful products (30-40% technical focus) while growing both professionally and personally (60-70% team leading tasks).

Your responsibilities:
Supporting the development team in achieving sprint and PI objectives within Scrum and SAFe frameworks,
Mentoring and developing team members through regular one-on-one meetings, providing constructive feedback, and coaching,
Monitoring the quality of delivered solutions, identifying and removing technical impediments,
Addressing interpersonal and technical issues, mediating conflicts, when necessary,
Collaborating with other Team Leaders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and stakeholders from the Digital Hangar ecosystem,
Co-creating and implementing employee development paths (performance reviews, promotions, development plans),
Motivating the team and fostering engagement, while promoting a culture of open communication and collaboration,
Participating in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members
Who are you?
We are looking for a Team Leader who:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Team Leader / Tech Leader in software development teams (leading teams of min. 10 experts including software developers, devops engineers, scrum masters, PO, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of hands-on technical experience (backend/frontend/devops oriented roles)
Understands the software development lifecycle, system architecture, and backend/frontend/devops technologies.
Has strong soft skills – excellent communication, empathy, motivation, and trust-building.
Is fluent in English and comfortable working in an international setting.
Has hands-on experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
Can mentor, develop team competencies, and share knowledge.
Has experience conducting performance reviews, giving feedback, and planning career paths.
Can handle interpersonal challenges and resolve conflicts.
Is proactive, accountable, and team oriented.
Is ready to work on a hybrid model – 2 days a week in our Gdańsk office.
Experience in conducting technical recruitment processes – nice to have
