Job description

Join Goliath Digital Studio – Where Technology Meets the Magic of Board Games!

Goliath Digital Studio is a newly formed team born from the exciting acquisition of Lucky Duck Games by the Goliath Group. This milestone has allowed us to merge innovative digital solutions with a legacy of beloved board games.

Do you dream of combining your passion for technology with the magic of board games? Goliath Digital is expanding into the mobile game market, and we’re looking for a talented Backend Developer to help us create digital versions of some of the world’s most beloved board games.

As a member of our team, you’ll have significant input on the design and implementation of many features. You will take part in the most important parts of projects’ lifecycles and accumulate experience on publishing, and later maintaining live-service mobile games.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and optimize backend systems for our digital games using Go (Golang).
  • Collaborate with designers and other stakeholders to turn creative concepts into reality.
  • Participate in the full game development lifecycle, from design to publishing and live-service maintenance.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and team collaboration.

What We're Looking For:

Must-Haves:

  • At least 2 years of relevant commercial experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) and SQL (PostgreSQL).
  • Solid understanding of design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux development, command-line tools, and version control systems like Git.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Communicative English skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working on published games.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and high-performance distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Docker, Kubernetes, NodeJS, and Redis.

Why Join Us?

  • Possibility to work online (from Poland), or in an office (Cracow / Warsaw).
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Highly skilled senior programming staff, eager to exchange experience.
  • Multiple opportunities to play board games in and after work.
  • Access to Luxmed for you and your family.
  • Mental health support - co-financing counseling and psychological support.
  • MultiSport card, personal training budget, and a lot of board games :)
