We are looking for a Technical Architect to join our Team in Lisbon! The role should be based at the office in the Carnaxide area (8 days per month remotely), the first month is fully on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and help VPoE and team leaders with the architecture decisions and systems
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools that enhance system functionality and performance, while also supporting long-term business goals.
• Engage with PO and Team Leaders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment between business objectives and architectural design.
• Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices to ensure code quality, security, and performance across development teams.
• Identify potential risks in architectural design and implementation, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure system reliability and security.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system architecture, including design specifications, architectural decisions, and guidelines for implementation.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the technical team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 6 years in software development, with at least 2 years in an architectural role or equivalent position requiring infrastructure and technical solution decision making.
• Prior experience in the iGaming, fintech or banking industries is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex software systems with high volume of users.
• Strong knowledge of software design patterns, architectural styles (e.g., microservices, serverless), and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL), API design and RESTful services.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., PHP, Golang, Python) and frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
