Loopla is a London-based family events marketplace. We help parents discover and book great activities for their children, and we build tools that help event organisers grow their businesses.

We’re a small, product-focused engineering team. We value clean code, clear thinking, and ownership. Engineers work end to end on real product features and have a direct impact on what is released.

The role

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain features across the stack.

You’ll own work from idea to production, write clean and maintainable code, and make sensible trade-offs between speed and quality. You’re expected to review and test your own work and contribute to a codebase the whole team can rely on.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in our London (Euston) office and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

• Plan and scope features before development

• Design and deliver solutions end to end

• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices

• Balance speed and quality to deliver reliably

• Review and test your own work before release

• Communicate clearly with the team and stakeholders

• Contribute ideas and collaborate on practical solutions

Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of professional full stack development experience

• 3+ years of production experience with Node.js

• 3+ years of production experience with React

• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills

• Experience building and integrating REST APIs

• 2+ years’ experience with MySQL and Git

• 2+ years’ experience with Next.js, Express.js, and Tailwind CSS

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)

• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern development workflows

• High level of English language proficiency (C1 or equivalent)

Bonus skills

Vitest or Jest, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Shadcn or MUI, MongoDB, microservices, Cloudflare or CDNs, Firebase, Google Maps API, startup experience.
