AI Software Engineer

For an innovative American healthcare start-up focused on revolutionizing healthcare processes through the integration of AI and NLP, we are looking for a Software Engineer. This role involves developing advanced AI-driven solutions to streamline complex workflows, such as prior authorizations, allowing healthcare professionals to dedicate more time to patient care.

With a strong emphasis on automation, data engineering, and distributed systems, the ideal candidate will play a key role in building and scaling cutting-edge products. Proficiency in technologies such as Python, Elixir, Azure, and Kubernetes, alongside experience in machine learning and AI frameworks, is essential.

The task involves extending the API to perform Pre-Auth checks by analyzing policies and data from the top five US healthcare payers and enabling the API to process and post authorization requests directly to the portals of these payers.

Requirements:

• Architecture - Big Data and distributed systems
• Complex client onboarding and multi-tenancy
• Devops
• Machine Learning / Data Engineering / AI
• Python & Elixir
• Azure and K8s
• Relational DBs, message queues, event streams, caching layers, data warehouses
• Test coverage is imperative. 
• Maximal automation is imperative. 
• Deep generalists. People who can be told: “See that mountain? Go get it” and they can break the problem down into manageable pieces and solve it, regardless of what the problem domain is. Learn fast, execute iteratively.
• Craftsmen mentality (Measure twice, cut once)
