Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing database migrations, mapping processes, and working on migration scripts. A strong knowledge of Ruby and Python, the ability to navigate code, and easily find necessary information is required. Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL processes are crucial.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL scripts
- Migrate databases across different systems
- Create data mappings with business logic for data transformation
- Analyze and optimize existing data processing workflows
- Collaborate with the development team to understand the implemented business logic
- Create technical documentation and user instructions
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide technical support
We need you if you...
- Have knowledge of Python (Ruby on Rails would be an added benefit)
- Are proficient in SQL
- Able to create and maintain ETL scripts.
- Have knowledge of MS SQL and PostgreSQL
- Have experience in database migrations and data mapping.
- Have worked with migration scripts.
- Possess strong business analytics skills.
- Demonstrate a high level of ownership and a problem-solving attitude.
- Excel in English, particularly for independent client work.
