Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Test Execution Expert to join a strategically important, large-scale IT project. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in test automation and execution, combined with hands-on experience in modern testing frameworks, tools, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Execution & Coordination

• Independently design and execute test cases for ongoing project development

• Support and advise on detailed planning and execution of feature and acceptance tests

• Provide guidance on non-functional testing activities

• Assist in the design and documentation of test cases and test results

• Identify software defects, support debugging activities, and verify corrections

• Participate in test reporting and coordinate cross-functional test campaigns

• Provide last-level testing support and contribute to test data creation and maintenance

Test Automation

• Design and develop the test automation framework and maintain scripts, simulators, and test data

• Select and implement test automation tools and strategies

• Develop and apply AI strategies to enhance test automation

• Create and maintain AI-based digital twins for test scenarios

• Ensure technical and professional quality standards

• Automate reporting processes and contribute to capacity and effort estimation

Test Implementation

• Execute defined test cases, including preparation and provisioning of test data

• Review Definition of Done and software deliveries to ensure test readiness

• Assist with the configuration of test environments and tools

• Write and maintain test scripts, and automate test procedures

• Regularly review test cases for accuracy and relevance

• Capture requirements to ensure proper test environment configuration

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in large-scale IT projects (duration > 1 year, budget > €1.5M, team size >10 FTE)

• Fluency in both German and English (spoken and written)

• Hands-on experience with agile methodologies (e.g. SAFe)

• Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, and test management platforms (e.g. Xray)

• Expertise in test automation tools (e.g. Eggplant), test data management, and test automation frameworks

• ISTQB certification or equivalent (e.g. Foundation Level, Agile Tester, Test Automation Engineer)

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office

• Strong programming skills in Java and Python

• Advanced experience with relational and non-relational databases

• Practical experience working with APIs

• Solid understanding of banking and payment transaction processes

• In-depth knowledge of XML and ISO20022

• Strong knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

• Experience with version control systems (e.g. GitLab)

• Familiarity with mocks and mocking tools

• Experience leveraging artificial intelligence in software testing
