Senior Tech Operations Specialist/IAM

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Tech Operations Specialist to enhance our identity and access management (IAM), IT operations, and infrastructure automation. This role requires expertise in Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and SharePoint, with experience in Terraform for infrastructure management. Familiarity with Okta is a strong advantage. You will optimize IT security, streamline operations, and ensure system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management (IAM) & User Administration

• Manage and optimize IAM solutions, ensuring secure authentication and authorization.
• Handle user provisioning, access control, and security policies across Okta, Microsoft 365, and related platforms.
• Implement SSO, MFA, and RBAC, ensuring compliance and security best practices.

Systems Administration

• Oversee Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online).
• Manage SharePoint structures, permissions, and integrations for collaboration.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and troubleshoot access/configuration issues.

Infrastructure as Code & Tech Operations

• Use Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and identity workflows.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and availability.
• Manage system upgrades, patching, and asset management.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work with IT and Security teams to align policies and configurations.
• Document system setups and train users on IT best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify and implement enhancements in IT processes, security, and automation.
• Stay updated on IAM, cloud security, and infrastructure automation trends.
• Support IT projects, migrations, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
• Deep understanding of IAM principles, identity lifecycle, and security policies.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting IT issues related to identity management, security, and performance.
• Knowledge of IT operations best practices (monitoring, patch management, incident response).
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages for automation.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with additional IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Workato, Power Automate).
• Knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and security best practices.
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator, Terraform Associate, ITIL).
• Experience managing IAM systems in enterprise-scale environments.
