Senior Cloud Automation Engineer
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced cloud engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation to help shape, scale, and secure our global cloud environments. You’ll play a key role in building foundational tooling and services that enable efficient, reliable, and compliant use of cloud platforms across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and optimize multi-cloud infrastructure environments (AWS primarily, with exposure to GCP and Azure), focusing on centralized governance, security, and operational consistency across hundreds of cloud accounts
Build and manage a scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform based on Terraform Enterprise, serving multiple teams across the company
Improve system reliability and observability using SRE principles and automation tooling
Create secure, automated CI/CD workflows with built-in compliance checks, testing, and deployment guardrails
Develop internal developer platforms and automation services that promote self-service infrastructure deployment
Define and document best practices for cloud architecture, infrastructure provisioning, and operations
Implement cloud cost control strategies and monitor for efficiency across environments
Offer architecture reviews and guidance on cloud infrastructure to engineering teams and stakeholders
Partner with security teams to maintain strong cloud security postures and respond to incidents
Contribute to enterprise-wide standards around infrastructure, policy, and governance
Qualifications
5+ years of experience working with AWS in complex, large-scale environments
Proven experience with AWS account management frameworks such as AWS Organizations and Control Tower
Advanced proficiency in Terraform, ideally with experience supporting large-scale Terraform Enterprise usage
Solid understanding of DevOps and SRE principles; hands-on with containers and orchestration (e.g., Docker, ECS, EKS)
Experience with scripting languages and cloud monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Datadog, CloudWatch,
Familiarity with cloud-native security tools and practices, including WAF, IAM, KMS, GuardDuty
AWS certifications are a plus (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Security Specialty)
Knowledge of cloud compliance and policy-as-code tools is a strong advantage
Exposure to other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) is beneficial
