Senior Business Analyst (Payments and Cards)

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Systems Analyst with a strong background in card payments projects, particularly within the acquiring domain. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with card processing systems and a good understanding of payment flows, card schemes, and transaction lifecycle management.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Business Analyst / Systems Analyst in financial services projects

• Experience with card systems or card processing platforms (issuing and/or acquiring)

• Good understanding of cards and payments domain, including authorization, clearing, settlement, and chargebacks

• Knowledge of card schemes and standards (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, ISO8583)

• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to payments

• Experience gathering business and technical requirements and preparing specifications

• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Fluent English and Polish

Nice to have:

• Experience working in PCI-DSS compliant environments

• Knowledge of security and compliance aspects within card acquiring ecosystems

Responsibilities:

• Collecting and analyzing business and system requirements

• Preparing business and functional specifications

• Supporting integration of banking and payment systems

• Participating in SIT/UAT testing activities

• Cooperating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle

• Acting as a subject matter expert within the cards/payments area
