Senior Business Analyst – Financial Risk Management

Role Overview:

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join their team within the Financial Risk Management domain. This individual will play a critical role as a bridge between the business and technical teams, ensuring smooth communication and efficient implementation of stress testing and financial risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the liaison between the business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are clearly understood and delivered in technical solutions.
• Support the ongoing Stress Testing program, which started in 2024, and contribute to the development and implementation of a new stress modeling tool.
• Assist in the management and enhancement of credit risk models and risk models, understanding their application and impact on business decisions.
• Utilize financial statement knowledge to analyze and assess risk models and stress testing results.
• Support the business with the interpretation of data and ensure the alignment of technological solutions with business objectives.
• Provide insights and suggestions for improvements to technical teams, based on a strong understanding of the code and systems, without direct coding involvement.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

• 8+ years as a Business Analyst with a strong background in financial risk management. Previous experience as a Project Manager or Product Owner is highly valued.
• Skills: Knowledge of stress testing management, credit risk modeling, financial statements, and risk models. Familiarity with stress testing methodologies is crucial.
• Technical Understanding: While not a coding role, familiarity with SQL, Python, or similar technologies is beneficial to understand and suggest improvements to the existing codebase.
• Personal Traits: Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between business and technology teams. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
