Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Spring Boot, AWS)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with strong Java development skills to join our engineering team. You will play a key role in developing technical solutions for complex business challenges in purchasing and supply chain management. This position offers the opportunity to work on scalable microservices, collaborate across teams, and take ownership of core product features.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java (8+), Spring Boot (3+), and Hibernate
• Design and implement scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring compliance with OpenAPI standards
• Optimize and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL), including advanced SQL query tuning and JPA persistence
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (ECR, ECS, SQS, RDS)
• Utilize Docker for containerization and orchestration in Kubernetes environments
• Ensure high-quality code, adhering to best practices in software security, maintainability, and scalability
• Collaborate in Agile teams, using Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

✅ 8+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate

✅ Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and distributed systems

✅ 5+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL, SQL, and JPA

✅ Expertise in REST APIs and service-oriented architecture

✅ Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECR, ECS, SQS, RDS) and Docker/Kubernetes

✅ Proficiency in CI/CD processes and version control (Git, GitHub)

✅ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have

➕ Basic knowledge of JavaScript, React

➕ Experience with Agile methodologies and open-source contributions
