Mainframe Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Technical Analyst / Solution Architect with a strong background in z/OS environments and complex banking systems. The role focuses on end-to-end solution design, analysis of legacy platforms, and translating business and regulatory needs into effective technical solutions.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience working in IBM mainframe (z/OS) environments.

• Solid knowledge of core tools and technologies such as JCL, TSO/ISPF, RACF, DB2, and VSAM.

• Proven experience in roles such as Technical Analyst, Solution Designer, or System Architect, covering full lifecycle and end-to-end processes.

• Strong capability to design scalable and secure solution architectures within complex banking or financial services ecosystems.

• Practical experience integrating mainframe platforms with distributed or satellite systems using APIs, MQ, batch processing, and event-driven approaches.

• Ability to review and analyze legacy codebases (COBOL/PL1) to understand existing business logic without requiring full-scale development work.

• Familiarity with systems supporting custody, clearing, and settlement operations.

• Experience translating regulatory, compliance, and market-driven requirements into technical system changes and implementation plans.
