Functional Tester

Key Responsibilities of the Functional Tester:

• Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and work closely with business analysts and product owners.
• Extract test cases from software requirements and use cases.
• Design and execute manual test cases to ensure the product meets the provided specifications and documentation.
• Run dry-runs, conduct peer reviews, and execute functional and end-to-end (E2E) test scripts.
• Identify, report, and manage defects found during testing.
• Perform both backend and frontend testing, including API, database, and Salesforce testing.
• Assist the team in executing and maintaining automated tests.

Role Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in backend testing, including REST API and SQL.
• Familiarity with frontend testing.
• Proficiency in Functional, E2E, and UAT testing as part of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• At least 2 years of experience as a software tester.
• Understanding of different testing types and phases, such as Integration, UAT, E2E, and functional testing.
• Practical experience working in Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum).
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Problem-solving ability and capability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, showing initiative when necessary.
• Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience in Finance or Banking is highly desirable.
• Background in Automation testing is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Robot Framework is an advantage.
• ISTQB Certification would be a benefit.
