Data Engineer with Python

We’re looking for a Data Engineer with strong Python skills to join a modernization initiative in the financial sector. The goal is to transition critical Mainframe systems to a distributed platform, delivering robust, scalable solutions for share registration with regional CSDs.

This is a hybrid project requiring business trips to Frankfurt, Germany:

• 3 days/week onsite for the first 4 weeks
• Then 3 days every 2 weeks

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Develop data solutions in Python for registering/de-registering financial assets
• Design and implement data pipelines, data models, and ETL processes
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
• Support the modernization and migration of legacy systems
• Contribute to production support, enhancements, and ongoing project improvements
• Collaborate within an Agile team environment

🧠 Your Profile

✅ Strong Python development skills

✅ Proven experience in data engineering, including:

— Database development

— Data warehousing

— Data pipelining

— Distributed data processing

✅ Familiarity with Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Marts, and Data Mesh concepts

✅ Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, especially in big data environments

✅ Experience working with various data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured)

✅ Comfortable working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

✅ Fluent English – both written and spoken

✅ Willingness to travel to Frankfurt as per project setup
