AWS DevOps Engineer

Senior AWS DevOps Engineer (Data Warehouse)

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong Data Warehouse background to support the growth of cloud-based data platforms. The role focuses on building, optimizing, and automating AWS data warehouse infrastructure while supporting and mentoring data engineering teams.

You’ll work closely with senior data specialists in an Agile environment, helping scale secure, reliable, and well-documented AWS data solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Build and improve AWS Data Warehouse infrastructure, with a strong focus on Redshift.

• Design secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure for data platforms used by multiple internal teams.

• Optimize existing setups, including performance, cost efficiency, and automation.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Support multi-account AWS environments and CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with data engineers and other technical teams.

• Act as a technical mentor, sharing best practices in AWS, data architecture, and DevOps.

• Support knowledge sharing through pair programming and hands-on guidance.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure / DevOps roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Terraform (IaC).

• Proven experience designing and operating AWS Data Warehouse solutions, especially Redshift.

• Experience working with multi-account AWS Organizations and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to define and implement best practices around cost optimization, observability, and performance.

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Fluent English and experience working in Agile teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud migration projects.

• Hands-on knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue.

• Familiarity with tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, JFrog, Python.

• Understanding of data governance and security.

• Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS + Azure).
