Cloud DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving our digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a professional who can design, implement, and adapt automation workflows while thriving in a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated operations.

The Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for delivering automated solutions for both existing and new architectures, following best practices around scalability, security, and observability. The position demands close collaboration with architecture, development, operations, and security teams to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable cloud deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with lead architects and DevOps peers to design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud and private cloud solutions.

• Transform existing workflows by migrating them to modern automation and orchestration platforms as defined by architecture teams.

• Identify opportunities to enhance application deployment processes and overall system performance.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth code deployment and operational efficiency.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration to reduce manual effort.

• Develop reusable infrastructure components and services for cross-domain applications.

• Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across multiple platforms and applications.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in cloud computing (AWS and private cloud environments).

• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and transformation patterns.

• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Solid experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).

• Familiarity with GitOps concepts and tools (ArgoCD, Flux).

• Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, Jenkins).

• Knowledge of Platform Engineering principles and tooling (Backstage).

• Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing.

• Awareness of observability practices and monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace).

• Exposure or interest in Cycloid, REST APIs, and integration platforms (API management, messaging solutions).

• Strong network and security knowledge.

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cloud/DevOps roles with proven project success.

• Professional cloud certifications are a strong advantage.

• Experience in cross-functional teams and dynamic environments.

• Fluency in English is required; other European languages are a plus.

• EU citizenship required.

• A 5-day onboarding in Luxembourg is necessary, during which the equipment is handed over, the team is introduced, and procedures are explained.

• The position is remote, but you have to be able to handle occasional short on-site appearances in Luxembourg.

• Ready to start work without unnecessary delay.

• Ability to obtain security clearance.
