Test Automation Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Join our team as a Test Automation Engineer and ensure the highest quality in software delivery. With a focus on meticulous testing and continuous improvement, you’ll craft comprehensive test plans, maintain and enhance our automation framework, and collaborate closely with developers to achieve exceptional product performance. Your keen attention to detail and expertise with automated tools will be instrumental in driving our success in the dynamic igaming and sports betting industry.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Architecting, developing, and sustaining robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks (including greenfield development).

• Executing both automated and manual tests in accordance with clearly defined acceptance criteria.

• Crafting detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure exhaustive test coverage.

• Conducting backend API and microservice testing utilizing tools such as RestAssured, Postman, and other HTTP clients. 

• Collaborating intimately with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

• Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and constructive feedback.

• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects in JIRA, and conducting regression testing upon issue resolution.

• Contributing to the continuous enhancement of QA processes and automation practices.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• ​​Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in backend test automation

• Proven experience designing and building test automation frameworks from the ground up

• Strong Java programming skills

• In-depth knowledge of testing REST APIs and microservices using RestAssured, Postman, or similar tools

• Experience with test runners like JUnit 5, TestNG, or similar

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, best practices, and test strategies

• Proficiency in version control systems like Git, and experience with JIRA and TestRail

• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable automated test code

• Hands-on experience in test planning, writing, and executing test cases

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Strong attention to documentation and quality standards

• Advanced English skills – both written and verbal

NICE TO HAVES

• Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka and OpenSearch

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana

• Knowledge of SQL for validating data integrity

• Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, or other frontend automation tools

• Experience or knowledge in the sports betting or online gaming/gambling industry

1. 45-minute phone/Zoom call with our recruiter

2. 1-hour technical interview with the live coding task

3. 30-minute technical interview focused on test experience

4. max. 40 min online personality and logic test

5. 1-hour cultural fit interview
