Your tasks

We are looking for a Cloud Strategy Architect to lead the development and implementation of our cloud strategy, ensuring architectural oversight, security, scalability, and integration across IT systems while driving innovation, compliance, and collaboration to support business growth and digital transformation.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and maintain our Cloud Strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy and business objectives.

• Ensure end-to-end architectural oversight across the entire IT infrastructure & platforms, integrating cloud and on-premises systems into a cohesive, secure, and scalable enterprise landscape.

• Act as a thought leader and advisor for cloud adoption across the organization, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures that enable business growth and digital transformation.

• Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of cloud solutions across the IT landscape.

• Establish and enforce cloud governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.

• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and trends to recommend strategic enhancements to LAPP’s cloud landscape.

• Lead cloud transformation initiatives, including migration from on-premise systems to cloud platforms.

• Partner with stakeholders to assess business requirements and translate them into cloud-based solutions.

• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards in all cloud implementations.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT teams during cloud-related projects.

• Documentation of the global Cloud landscape in our Enterprise Architecture Repository (LeanIX) and provide architectural reports and diagrams.

Your profile

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in IT architecture, with a strong focus on cloud technologies and strategy development.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud roadmaps and large-scale cloud adoption initiatives.

• Deep knowledge of leading cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and hybrid cloud environments.

• Familiarity with tools and practices for enforcing cloud governance and ensuring compliance (e.g., Azure Security Center, AWS Shield) and experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools for automated cloud provisioning.

• Expertise in Cloud Strategy development, including migration planning, hybrid cloud environments, and hybrid architecture.

• Knowledge of cloud performance monitoring and optimization tools such as Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, or equivalent.

• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and platforms – including networks, compute, storage, identity, and security – and the ability to design cloud architectures that align seamlessly with these foundational components.

• Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to support scalable and automated cloud deployments.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools for improving development and deployment workflows in cloud environments.

• Strategic thinking and vision-setting ability for cloud adoption and transformation.

• Strong collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, including operations, development, and business units with ability to influence and drive decision-making processes to achieve long-term IT and business goals.
