Senior Cloud Engineer

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of cloud landing zones that form the foundation of our cloud infrastructure. Working closely with development teams, you will ensure that our environments are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices, enabling the reliable delivery and operation of cloud-native solutions. 

How you create impact

• Develop and deploy sophisticated cloud architectures and solutions that meet the organization's technical and business requirements. Ensure these solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.

• Design robust and scalable cloud architectures that address specific business needs. Implement complex solutions involving multiple cloud services and integrations

• Implement and enforce best practices for cloud security and compliance. Ensure that cloud environments meet regulatory and industry standards.

• Monitor and analyse cloud performance metrics. Make recommendations for optimizing resource usage and cost management, including implementing autoscaling and load balancing strategies.

• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications. Provide expert support and guidance for resolving critical incidents.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and configurations. Generate reports on system performance, security, and incidents.

What we would like you to bring

• Deep understanding of AWS. Expertise in advanced services and features like container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), serverless computing, and complex networking setups.

• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in cloud environments, such as Bash or Python.

• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to automate and manage infrastructure provisioning and configuration.

• Skills in optimizing cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Experience with load balancing, autoscaling, and performance monitoring.

• Familiarity with cloud monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) to track and analyze system performance.

• Advanced knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and vulnerability management.

• In-depth understanding of cloud networking concepts such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, VPNs, and network security.

• Ability to lead the resolution of complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience handling critical incidents.

• Skills in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures, processes, and configurations.

• Communication skills in English, both written and oral.
