IT Quality Assurance Engineer (m/w/d)

We are looking for an IT Quality Assurance Engineer (m/w/d) who will be the vital player ensuring the successful delivery of value in the domain of Pricing + Quote for Sea Logistics.

Your Role

Your Responsibilities

• We are extending our team in Wroclaw, which is a partner team for our already existing teams in Hamburg and Porto. Together, we want to become one great product team, hand in hand with the business unit and soon with you. 
• Be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from requirements definition through realization to demo and product delivery. Contribute to the active development of the whole product team. Identify and propose changes to improve the Development Process.
• Take over test responsibility within the cross-functional teams and test applications based on functional and technical requirements. Execute manual acceptance tests using JIRA as the issue-tracking collaboration tool and specify automated test cases and scenarios for interfaces for yourself or other engineers in the team.
• Execute regression testing of go-live-ready digital solutions. Monitoring of service performance, application server logs and consuming interfaces of mission-critical digital products.
• Identify, record, and document thoroughly defects and issues found during detailed error analysis on different levels or reported by our internal enterprise users.
• Collaboration with business units, UX experts, architects and software engineers as well as with other products and service departments. Demonstration and presentation of delivered features and initiatives to bigger audiences and stakeholders.

Your Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or similar positions within a complex IT landscape. 
• Knowledge in software testing standards, methods and convention e.g. in regression testing, test case design and test case execution. 
• Expertise of test automation techniques and basic software programming as well as databases are good to have. Skills and knowledge about SoapUI, SwaggerUI, databases, Kafka, and Elastic Search make you a great candidate. 
• Analytical skills which help to identify functional, technical or UX issues in the system under test. Ability to explain found issues with the necessary detailed communication in writing and speaking. Have a team player attitude and reliability.
• Have the strong will to evolve personally in business and engineering in a dynamic environment while fostering a no-blame culture, dare to fail and share opinions. Proactivity and ability to perform duties without immediate supervision.
• Fluent command of English (oral and written). Polish is the local language and should be available for small talk. German is nice to have.
