Senior Java Engineer

For our Client – an international technology company in the financial sector - we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the team responsible for developing a platform that enables secure and reliable communication with global financial institutions.

🧩 About the project:

You will have the opportunity to work on the development of an advanced platform responsible for processing financial transactions and exchanging data between clients, banks, and external systems. The project focuses on batch processing and secure communication using standard banking protocols. Alongside the development of new features, the architecture is being modernized – moving from a monolithic system to microservices and an event-driven approach.

🎯 Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing components of the integration platform
• Implementing solutions using financial protocols (SWIFT, EBICS, SFTP, bank APIs)
• Participating in the transformation of the system from a monolith to a modern distributed architecture
• Ensuring system performance, security, and reliability
• Collaborating with international development and DevOps teams

✅ Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of commercial experience in Java development (Spring)
• Knowledge of architectural patterns: DDD, Event-Driven Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture
• Experience with distributed and integration systems
• Practical knowledge of banking protocols and industry standards (nice to have)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing (TDD/BDD), and working with legacy code
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Strong SQL and database design skills
• English proficiency at least at B2 level (working in an international environment)
