Senior Data Engineer

For our client, a global leader in aircraft manufacturing and aviation technology, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a project focused on building and maintaining scalable data platforms on Google Cloud.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines on Google Cloud (Dataflow, Cloud Storage, BigQuery).

• Develop and maintain Java-based data processing components and pipelines.

• Support and enhance web UI components built with Angular.

• Ensure high data quality through schema management, validation, and transformation logic.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.

• Build and execute unit and automated tests.

• Ensure production readiness through CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and cost optimization on GCP.

• Prepare technical documentation and operational runbooks, and support knowledge transfer.

Ideal candidate profile:

• 10+ years of overall professional experience in software or data engineering.

• Senior-level expertise (equivalent to Senior / Staff Engineer).

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Google Cloud Platform, SQL (PostgreSQL), Kubernetes

• Solid background in system design, performance optimization, CI/CD, and production operations.

• Experience with batch and streaming data processing (Apache Beam – nice to have).

• Strong communication skills and a leadership-oriented mindset (mentoring, design reviews).

Conditions:

• Work model: Hybrid (Gdańsk) or Remote

• Contract type: B2B

• Rate: 140–180 PLN net/h (negotiable)
