Group Financial Controller with German

We are recruiting for an international company operating in the insurance and financial services sector. The organization works across multiple European markets and focuses on financial controlling, reporting, business performance analysis, and long-term value management for international entities and branches.

In this role, you will be responsible for financial controlling activities, KPI monitoring, business performance analysis, and supporting management boards with financial insights based on HGB, IFRS and Solvency II standards. You’ll work closely with international stakeholders in a multinational environment and contribute to strategic financial initiatives and controlling processes.

Key responsibilities

• Financial controlling and performance monitoring for international entities and branches
• Cost controlling, variance analysis and monitoring of financial performance
• Conducting financial and economic analyses
• Preparing management reporting and KPI analysis (HGB, IFRS, Solvency II)
• Supporting management boards with business and financial insights
• Monitoring investment valuations and strategic initiatives
• Cooperating with international stakeholders and business teams
• Supporting process improvements and controlling activities across the organization

Ideal candidate profile

• 3+ years of experience in Financial Controlling and/or Business Analysis
• Good knowledge of financial controlling and cost management
• Knowledge of IFRS standards, especially IFRS 17
• Fluent English and German
• Experience working in an international environment
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Structured and self-driven approach to work
• Ability to communicate and cooperate with stakeholders across different teams
• Degree in Economics, Business Mathematics or similar field

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Solvency II
• Experience in insurance or financial services sector
• Experience working with international group structures
