We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to join our client from the automotive technology sector, working on cutting-edge solutions in driver safety and smart in-car systems.

Key responsibilities:
Develop and optimize production firmware for smart dashcam systems
Work closely with engineering teams in the UK to deliver stable, high-quality embedded solutions
Prototype new embedded features and review source code for robustness and security
Improve test cases and specifications while identifying and resolving technical gaps
Operate within an Agile Scrum process using tools like Jira and Git
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and continuous delivery cycles
Ideal candidate profile:
Solid experience in embedded Linux development for SoC platforms (e.g., Ambarella, Broadcom, or similar)
Strong command of C programming in real-time or performance-sensitive environments
Familiarity with C++ (object-oriented principles and design patterns)
Understanding of security principles in embedded environments
Background in video or graphics processing (e.g., H.265, MP4, OpenGL, encoding/decoding pipelines)
Experience in automotive, connected devices, or real-time data processing
Experience with Node.js and JavaScript is a plus
