Database Expert

We are looking for an experienced Database Expert to join our team in the banking industry. If you have a passion for database optimization, performance tuning, and high availability configurations, this role is for you!

Key responsibilities:

• Optimize SQL queries from both the application and database sides
• Enhance database performance through tuning and optimization techniques
• Troubleshoot unoptimized database setups and resolve performance issues
• Implement and manage asynchronous database setups
• Ensure high availability configurations, including FSFO, and assess their impact on system availability
• Utilize Oracle reporting tools for database analysis and reporting

Ideal candidate profile:

• At least 6+ years of experience in a similar position
• Strong expertise in performance analysis, profiling, and optimization
• Deep understanding of relational databases and SQL (Oracle or similar)
• Proficiency in database tuning and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of high-availability database setups
• Experience with Oracle reporting tools

Nice to Have:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis)
• Knowledge of containerization (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with messaging technologies (Kafka)
• Understanding of microservices architecture and integration patterns

Conditions:

• Location: Gdańsk
• Hybrid work model: once a week in the office
• Form of cooperation: B2B contract
• Salary: 150-180 PLN net/h
