Release & Deployment Coordinator (m/f/d)

As a Release & Deployment Coordinator, you will be responsible for end-to-end release planning, coordination, and oversight — from preparation and testing through to safe deployment. You will work closely with development, testing, operations, and security teams, as well as business stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with change management processes (ITIL).

Your responsibilities:
Release planning and coordination
Own end‑to‑end release planning and execution across multiple systems and environments.
Create, maintain, and communicate release schedules aligned with:
CI/CD pipelines,
deployment windows,
environment availability (PRE‑PROD / PROD).
Coordinate preparation, testing, and deployments across multiple change streams (projects, maintenance, hotfixes, security changes).
Ensure releases are compliant with ITIL and change management processes.
Collaborate closely with development, QA, operations, infrastructure, security, and business teams to manage dependencies and execution order.

Coordinate and validate rollback and recovery scenarios.
Risk management
Identify technical, integration, environment, and scheduling risks early in the release lifecycle.
Define and coordinate mitigation, rollback, and go/no‑go scenarios.
Reporting and communication
Provide clear, technically grounded release status to stakeholders.
Escalate risks transparently and proactively.
Documentation
Prepare and maintain essential release documentation, including:
release readiness and go/no‑go checklists,
deployment and rollback plans,
post‑deployment reports.
Ensure documentation reflects actual execution and technical outcomes, not only process assumptions.
Process improvement
Analyze releases, deployments, and incidents to identify systemic issues
Requirements:
Must have
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in: technical release management, release coordination,deployment,
Hands‑on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), including:
Practical experience with production deployments, including: deployment sequencing and dependencies,rollback and recovery scenarios.
Solid understanding of the software delivery lifecycle and environment management (DEV → PROD).
Experience working with multiple parallel change streams.
Strong communication skills and a fact‑ and data‑oriented mindset.
Working knowledge of tools supporting release and change management (e.g. Jira, Xray, Confluence, ITSM / Service Management tools).
Polish – fluent; English – minimum B2, enabling effective technical communication and documentation.
Nice to have
Certifications: ITIL (Foundation+), Agile (Scrum / Kanban), or DevOps Fundamentals.
Familiarity with CI/CD and release versioning (pipelines, release tagging, deployment windows).
Experience in environments with increased audit or regulatory requirements.
Ability to analyze release quality and stability metrics (Lead Time, Change Fail Rate, MTTR, “go/no-go” readiness).
