About Kontomatik
First to get an Account Information Service Provider license in Poland (💪), we’re offering services that help banks and loan companies. Two of our main products are PSD2 based automatic financial data gathering platform via APIs from banks in Poland and Europe as well as an advanced PDF parsing tool that extracts data from bank statements.
The idea behind it is quite simple - those can be used to judge if a person will be able to pay off a loan. We gather the financial data and using Machine Learning tools we label transactions and calculate our proprietary probability of default score. Of course there are other applications such as bookkeeping, expense tracking and many more.
About the job
We’re not gonna lie - you probably know by now how being a Project Manager is basically working on a bit of everything at all times 🤷♂️. In our IT team this mostly means continuous monitoring of our services, describing, planning and delivering new features, contacting banks regarding their API performance and supporting our business team as well as our clients in technical matters.
Apart from these daily tasks, we have two bigger projects planned for next year that we’d like you to tackle. They will require the ability to create requirements (even very technical ones) and plan an online process for new users. You’d lead PSD2/GDPR legal arrangements, talk with potential customers to understand their needs and coordinating work of both internal and external programmers.
Our expectations:
- some experience in coordinating or managing projects in the areas of web apps development in direct cooperation with programmers;
- ability to gather and create functional and non-functional requirements;
- being a technical person is very important to synergize with our developers and clients, so we require a Computer Science degree;
- choose managing tools and strategies according to the situation at hand...
- ...knowledge of project management methodologies helps with that (yes, both agile and waterfall, Scrum doesn’t solve every problem);
- with analytical skills and problem solving mindset be able to communicate effectively;
- having clients mostly in Poland and many abroad, you need to be proficient in both Polish and English.
Nice to have:
- knowledge of GDPR requirements and experience in cooperation with legal teams;
- UX/UI knowledge;
- experience working with external clients (it is quite different to an internal cooperation);
- knowledge of the financial and banking markets or products;
- memes ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Typical tasks on the job:
- plan features development and discuss them with programmers;
- meet with clients to present technical aspects of our products, support their struggles during the integration phase;
- fill out RFPs to present our perfect services;
- contact banks about integration and their API performance;
- provide technical input for clients and business teams, including clients/users official communication, contracts and documentation;
- monitor of our services performance and address potential issues;
- if you want to, you can also support recruitment processes;
- ...tbd? We will try to adjust your main tasks to your skillset 🙂
We offer:
- competent and helpful colleagues (as we humbly describe ourselves);
- technical management;
- agile (not Scrum) work methodology based on priorities;
- technical excellence mindset - we are pretty serious about this;
- sports subscription and medical insurance after a trial period;
- training budget;
- paid time off.
Working tools:
- MacBook Pro (Windows is a no-no);
- YouTrack (it's waaay faster than Jira);
- Google Workspace (keeping documents in cloud over sending hundreds of versions of the same file over emails)
- Office 365 in case you need it;
- our technology stack involves mainly Java, Elixir and Python, with all apps deployed to Google Cloud.
