Senior Production Support

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Production Support Engineer to join our Warsaw-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering Level 3 support for our mission-critical PPT products. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, performance, and availability across a complex enterprise environment.

This position requires strong technical expertise in Java-based applications, modern monitoring tools, distributed systems, and scripting. You will be expected to work in close coordination with development and operations teams, contribute to architecture reviews, and actively support issue diagnosis and resolution in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for all PPT products, ensuring round-the-clock availability in a 24/7 support model.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application layers, VMs, and infrastructure components.
• Analyze logs, metrics, and system performance using Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Create dashboards and alerts to proactively monitor key application health indicators.
• Support and optimize distributed systems built with Kafka, Cassandra, and Oracle/MySQL databases.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Python and/or Bash to support operational tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies; participate in sprint planning, development, and code reviews.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable and resilient systems.
• Handle production support activities including incident management, problem resolution, bug fixing, and root cause analysis.
• Work across Linux/Unix/Ubuntu/Windows operating systems as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in production support and incident management in a high-availability environment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging complex enterprise systems.
• Solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience working with Kafka, Cassandra, and scripting languages (Python/Bash).
• Background in Java/J2EE development using frameworks and technologies such as Hibernate, Spring, JDBC, JNDI, IBM MQ Series, and REST/SOAP web services.
• Working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL.
• Comfortable operating in Linux/Unix environments; Windows experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
• Understanding of mobile SDK languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
