We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and coordinate Agile Release Train (ART) activities in alignment with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). As a servant leader and facilitator, the RTE is responsible for planning, execution, and continuous improvement of program-level processes and delivery across multiple Agile teams, ensuring maximum value delivery through Lean-Agile principles.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate PI Planning: Organize and lead Program Increment (PI) planning events, ensuring alignment of vision, objectives, and deliverables across teams.
Support PI Execution: Monitor progress, manage risks, and facilitate ART-level syncs (e.g., Scrum of Scrums, PO Syncs) to ensure smooth execution.
Coach the ART: Mentor teams, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders in Lean-Agile practices to promote maturity and autonomy.
Optimize Flow: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, leveraging metrics and feedback loops to enhance throughput.
Drive Relentless Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement through Inspect and Adapt workshops and retrospectives.
Required Skills and Competencies
Deep Knowledge of Lean-Agile & SAFe: Demonstrated expertise in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and SAFe principles.
Facilitation & Coordination: Skilled in moderating large-scale planning events and aligning cross-team deliverables.
Team Leadership & People Management: Capable of building strong, high-performing teams through motivation and servant leadership.
Risk Management & Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying risks and implementing timely mitigation strategies.
Coaching & Teaching: Passionate about mentoring others in Agile practices and facilitating organizational learning.
Excellent Communication: Able to clearly convey goals, updates, and risks across a wide range of stakeholders.
Metrics & Reporting: Competent in tracking performance indicators and publishing PI progress and outcomes.
Budget & Resource Management: Experience managing ART-level budgeting and resource planning.

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in the role of Release Train Engineer within a SAFe environment.
SAFe RTE certification (preferred).
7+ years of relevant experience in Agile environments with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or coordination role.
