Job description

Kevin Edward is seeking an Java Support Lead to manage and support country-based IT applications for one of our European clients. This role involves leading the Operate team, overseeing L1, L2, and L3 tickets, and ensuring smooth IT operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Java, J2EE, and Oracle, and demonstrate excellent team management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall Operate team and manage IT application support.
  • Handle L1, L2, and L3 incident tickets and ensure timely resolution.
  • Interact with customers and provide weekly and monthly status reports (WSR/MSR).
  • Manage stakeholders effectively and provide clear reporting on IT performance.
  • Implement and optimize ITIL processes to enhance service management.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Address and resolve risk management issues and handle escalations efficiently.
  • Utilize technical expertise in Java, J2EE, and Oracle to support applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent team leadership and management abilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and reporting expertise.
  • In-depth ITIL knowledge and experience in process implementation.
  • Hands-on experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Solid technical background in Java, J2EE, and Oracle.
  • Experience in WSR (Weekly Status Report) and MSR (Monthly Status Report) reporting.
  • Proven track record in risk management and escalation handling.
