We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Business Analyst – Finance to join our team. This role bridges the gap between Finance and IT, ensuring that business requirements are effectively translated into functional and technical specifications. You will work closely with finance stakeholders, developers, and project teams to deliver technology solutions that enhance financial systems, reporting, and decision-making capabilities.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for systems and process improvements.
- Translate business needs into clear and concise technical specifications for IT development teams.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of finance systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting, forecasting, reporting tools).
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to elicit requirements and communicate solutions.
- Work with QA teams to define test strategies and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Monitor system performance and recommend optimizations or enhancements.
- Act as a liaison between finance users and technical teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Develop process documentation, user manuals, and training materials for finance systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements affecting financial systems and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a finance or IT environment.
- Solid understanding of financial processes such as accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
