We are seeking an experienced and proactive MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join a project for one of our clients, a major player in the financial industry in Poland.
This is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence in Kraków approximately 6 times per month.
- Build new MSSQL infrastructure and migrate data from legacy systems
- Prepare and execute pre-implementation plans for non-production and production migrations, including rollback and verification steps
- Optimize database performance before production go-live
- Collaborate with application SMEs to ensure full end-to-end testing and performance validation
- Maintain clear documentation for migration strategies, rollback plans, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
- Automate migration-related tasks using PowerShell, SQL scripts, and appropriate tools
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and 2019
- Proven track record of database version migrations
- Ability to document and execute testing, implementation, and rollback plans
- Hands-on expertise with on-prem MSSQL in High-Availability setups
- Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL, and Windows Server 2016/2019
- Solid understanding of database performance monitoring and tuning
- Willingness to work with closed-source third-party tools
- Knowledge of middleware technologies like IBM Liberty or WebSphere (WAS) is a plus
