Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their Real-World Evidence (RWE) team. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects to pre-process and analyse healthcare data, support integration pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-process and analyse RWE data using tools such as SQL, Python, and Azure Pipelines.
2. Manage data integration processes, including transferring data from providers via Azure or AWS, performing transformations, and loading data into databases.
3. Partner with biostatisticians and RWE experts to understand requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
4. Develop and document efficient processes for data handling, transfer, and validation.
5. Create visualizations and build patient cohorts to support key research and analysis objectives.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and programming for data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with data models like the OMOP Common Data Model.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a plus (not mandatory).
• Strong understanding of data integration and transformation in healthcare datasets.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in real-world data (RWD) and US healthcare systems (e.g., insurers, hospitals, or payers).
• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharma industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of tools like SAS and expertise in data validation and documentation.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders, particularly in the US.
• Exceptional documentation and process creation abilities.
• Proactive, independent problem-solver with excellent organizational skills.
