Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of backend engineers in developing scalable, high-performance software solutions.

About the role

In this role, you will oversee technical execution, drive architectural decisions, and ensure best engineering practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will play a crucial role in both hands-on technical leadership and people management to deliver robust backend services.

You will:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

• Define and drive backend system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Provide hands-on technical guidance, participate in code reviews, and enforce best practices in C++ development.

• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and execute development roadmaps.

• Oversee system performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting complex backend issues.

• Work with frontend, DevOps, QA, and other teams to build seamless and efficient backend services.

• Ensure backend systems adhere to security best practices and industry regulations.

  
  

About you

• 8+ years of backend software development experience

• Expertise in C++: Strong background in modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20) and experience with backend system development.

• Strong knowledge of concurrent programming, memory management, and performance tuning.

• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to manage teams and drive technical discussions.

We protect our customers against everything, ranging from ransomware to simple accidents.

The majority of our back-end components are written in clean, modern C++ using mainly purpose-built components. Components responsible for business processes and data mining are built using Common Lisp. Everything runs on Linux.
