Work model: remotely (required travel several times a year to Katowice, Warsaw, Stockholm or Amsterdam)

Project

---

We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our client's team. The project involves the team's development of finance analytics solutions, leveraging Microsoft Azure for data warehousing, modeling, and reporting to support data-driven insights. 

• Identify customer pain points and work on solving their problems through data solutions
• Develop, optimize, and maintain T-SQL code in the Snowflake DBT (Data Build Tool) cloud infrastructure
• Build and manage data pipelines to support Finance Analytics and Procurement product development
• Design, implement, and monitor ETL processes 
• Utilize Microsoft Azure services for data warehousing, storage, and processing
• Provide technical support to analytics teams using tools integrated with the Snowflake and Azure ecosystem
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes

• 7-10 years of proven experience
• Expertise in SQL (writing and optimizing complex queries; preferably in T-SQL or Snowflake dialects)
• Writing clean and self-documenting code
• Practical knowledge of code version control (preferably Git)
• Experience with Azure DevOps (working with CI/CD pipelines, Repos and Boards)
• Experience with Azure Storage, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory
• Practical knowledge of ETL and data warehousing concepts (preferably data lakehouses, medallion architecture, etc.)
• Experience in working with Power BI semantic models and Power BI reports
• Good knowledge of DAX language and its usage in tabular models
• Experience with dbt core
• Nice to have experience working with SAP data
• Experience working in knowledge sharing culture
• Capable of quickly adapting to regular changes in technical environment
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
• Pro-active approach and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Good understanding of financial processes
• Effective communication and excellent listening skills
• Practice in designing solutions based on the customer defined requirements
• Practice in experimenting with the solution design and openness in accepting assessment
• Ability to transform opinions of others into prototypes and working solutions
• Experience in translating customer requirements into product backlog items
