Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on market abuse surveillance and regulatory compliance within investment management.
The project centers on building and optimizing ETL processes that collect, transform, and deliver trading, order, and communication data from multiple sources such as Kafka and databases into structured files for a SaaS surveillance platform.The goal is to enable automated detection of insider trading and market manipulation while ensuring high data quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Design and build ETL processes to generate daily input files for the SaaS Market Abuse Surveillance system

• Extract data from multiple sources including Kafka streams, XML feeds and database links

• Transform and map data according to required CSV structures and compliance standards

• Test, validate and ensure data quality and integrity of delivered files

• Collaborate with compliance and technology teams to enhance surveillance capabilities

• Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines and workflows

• Work within agile frameworks using JIRA for task tracking and delivery

Expected competences and knowledge

• Strong hands-on experience with DataStage and Python for ETL development and data transformation

• Solid knowledge of Oracle SQL and working with relational databases

• Experience in reading and processing data from Kafka and XML sources

• Good understanding of end-to-end data processing and system integrations

• Strong IT background including familiarity with full-stack concepts and Kubernetes

• Experience working in agile environments with tools such as JIRA

• Analytical mindset with attention to data quality and detail

Nice to have

• Experience within financial institutions especially in trading environments

• Knowledge of risk management and compliance domains

• Familiarity with Actimize product and its implementation in surveillance systems
