Job description
The Development Operations Engineer II is responsible for participating in the effort of expanding the capabilities of our operations infrastructure. The Development Operations Engineer II will be a part of our Cloud Engineering team working closely with Quality Assurance, our Engineering Teams, and the Cloud Operations team to build and manage our deployment environments, and automate our application lifecycle pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
- Maintain and scale our Continuous Integration environment as needed
- Design and implementation of Continuous Integration processes
- Work and communicate effectively with other teams/stakeholders
- Maintain our production product release environment, including assisting with disaster recovery
- Develop automation where appropriate to make processes used between teams more effective and efficient
- Identify techniques and tools that will enhance the capabilities of the team to be more effective
- Participate in an on-call rotation for the services that the team builds and maintains
- Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and purpose of the organization

Requirements:
- 2 - 4 Years’ knowledge of Continuous Integration Tools and Techniques (Jenkins, Bamboo, or other)
- 2 - 4 Years’ experience working in scripting languages (shell, Python)
- 2 - 4 Years’ knowledge of source control systems
- 2 - 4 Years’ knowledge of issue tracking software (JIRA, Salesforce)
- 2 - 4 Years’ knowledge of monitoring (Logic Monitor, AppDynamics, Zabbix, etc) and logging tools (Splunk, Sumologic, or ELK (ElasticSearch/Logstash/Kibana))
- Advanced knowledge of container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Experience in AWS and/or GCP (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of Database Management Systems (MySQL/Postgres) (preferred)
- Excellent Interpersonal, Organizational and Communication Skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical terms in an easy to understand, non-technical manner
- Self-starter, energetic multi-tasker, highly motivated and team player
- Atlassian Platform
- Agile preferred
- Strong knowledge in various operating systems: Linux (preferred), Windows server, Mac OS X
