As a Staff Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the architecture and technical direction of our Order Management System. This is a high-impact, cross-functional position for a senior engineer who thrives on solving complex backend challenges at scale, and who leads by influence, technical depth, and mentorship.
✅ What you'll do:

Lead design and development of highly scalable, reliable, and observable backend services in Golang, leveraging Postgres and event-driven architecture.

Drive improvements in system architecture, code quality, and performance, serving as a technical reference point across multiple teams.

Mentor engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical deep dives.

Collaborate across teams (Product, Platform, DevOps) to ensure end-to-end delivery of robust features.

Define and uphold best practices in microservices development, observability, and cloud-native infrastructure.

Partner with DevOps to evolve our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices (e.g., Terraform).

Champion technical initiatives that improve scalability, reliability, and developer experience.

Participate in on-call rotations and lead troubleshooting efforts on complex production issues.

Document and communicate technical designs and decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
🧠 What you bring:

7+ years of backend engineering experience, with 5+ years working with Golang in production environments.

Strong knowledge of SQL, database performance optimization, and data integrity practices.

Experience designing and scaling microservices and distributed systems.

Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.

Solid understanding of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, etc.).

Experience with modern observability tooling (e.g., NewRelic, DataDog).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to drive consensus and advocate for engineering excellence.

Comfortable leading cross-team technical initiatives without direct authority.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
