Actively influence the appearance of the infrastructure of one of the largest investment banks in the world.
Warsaw-based opportunity with the possibility to work remotely.
As a System Integrator, you will be responsible for designing optimized infrastructure solutions for applications hosted within our client, a prestigious global investment bank. By joining the team, you will become an expert in the field of infrastructure and systems integration, and you will be able to develop your experience in a global organization.
Your main responsibilities: designing and documenting the infrastructure solution, calculating the costs, and justifying the solution sizing to the appropriate teams.
- Producing detailed documentation describing the solution design, including the technical implementation details, and cost estimates
- Documenting the implementation details in a set of work orders to enable the solution to be built correctly the first time
- Performing consultancy engagements with application teams or business units to make recommendations on long-term planning and helping them to understand the direction of our client’s organization
- Acting in performing environment analyses where there have been issues with performance or availability
As an ideal candidate you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in enterprise application configuration management (backups, monitoring, environment management)
- Knowledge of clustering, database, and virtualization technologies (particularly VMWare ESX server)
- Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery solutions as required by a regulated financial institution
- Understanding of SAN/NAS technologies and storage replication.
- Basic understanding of networking principles
- Ability to understand server utilization statistics, identify bottlenecks and translate application load requirements into server utilization projections
- Fluent English and good communication skills
