As a Specialist Engineering, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services that is advancing large-scale digital transformation initiatives. You will be contributing to the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and efficient API-driven solutions that power critical business applications. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, integrating cloud technologies, and optimizing databases to ensure reliability and performance. You will be applying modern engineering practices, driving innovation, and supporting the delivery of cutting-edge solutions within a fast-paced, agile environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot

• Deploying and managing API services on AWS platforms

• Designing and optimizing data models with MongoDB

• Collaborating with product managers, developers, and QA engineers to gather requirements

• Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices

• Monitoring and optimizing API performance to improve response times

• Creating and maintaining comprehensive API documentation

• Developing and executing unit and integration tests

• Troubleshooting and resolving API-related functionality, performance, and security issues

• Researching and implementing new technologies and best practices in API development

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong experience in Spring Boot, Core Java, and RESTful API development

• Hands-on delivery experience across multiple technologies

• Knowledge of MongoDB and AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins and understanding of DevOps models

• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

• Experience in creating high- and low-level design and performing impact analysis

• Knowledge of production support processes and procedures

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships across teams

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with SOAP, RAML, or CloudHub

• Proficiency in additional database systems such as Oracle or cloud-based services

• Familiarity with JavaScript in API-related contexts

• Experience with troubleshooting and supporting enterprise-level APIs

• A proactive and adaptable attitude in fast-paced environments
