Senior Test Engineer & Team Lead – Financial Services & Banking

As a Test Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution focused on delivering innovative and secure banking technology solutions. You will be contributing to large-scale digital transformation initiatives, ensuring the quality and reliability of complex financial systems across global operations. The project involves coordinating testing activities, managing test teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will play a critical role in test planning, execution, and process improvement, driving excellence in testing standards while collaborating with cross-functional and international teams to meet business and technical goals.

Your main responsibilities:

• Planning and managing detailed test activities for assigned projects

• Guiding and monitoring the team throughout the test lifecycle

• Defining test scope, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with project goals

• Designing, preparing, and executing test cases based on requirements

• Ensuring test environments and test data are correctly set up for execution

• Conducting test design walkthroughs and reviews with stakeholders

• Managing defect tracking, reporting, and resolution processes

• Maintaining test traceability and ensuring documentation completeness

• Coordinating with onsite teams and test managers for issue resolution

• Implementing process improvements and ensuring adherence to quality standards

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• More than 6 years of IT experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role

• Strong understanding of software development and testing lifecycles

• Proven ability to plan, allocate, and monitor team tasks effectively

• Experience managing testing projects from design to delivery

• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools such as QC and JIRA

• Solid understanding of test data management, defect resolution, and test design

• Functional expertise in the banking and payment domains

• Strong communication and coordination skills in global environments

• Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies

• Flexible approach with strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of automation tools such as TOSCA or xFramework

• Hands-on experience with AS400 (IBM iSeries) systems

• Understanding of change and defect prevention management processes

• Experience implementing test process improvements based on lessons learned

• Exposure to Agile testing methodologies and continuous delivery environments
