Senior QA Engineer (ETL & Automation Testing)

As a Senior QA Engineer you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, focusing on ensuring the integrity and reliability of their data warehouse within a Snowflake environment. This project involves the comprehensive validation of complex data transformations and pipelines, guaranteeing that the business leverages accurate and dependable information for critical decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust automated testing strategies, collaborating closely with data engineers and analysts to maintain the highest standards of data quality and compliance.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated ETL test scripts to validate data accuracy and transformations.
• Develop and implement test automation frameworks for ETL processes.
• Conduct data validation, integration, and end-to-end automated testing in Snowflake environments.
• Identify, analyze, and report bugs, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure high-quality data pipelines.
• Utilize SQL and scripting languages to optimize and automate the testing process.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in ETL testing, with a focus on automation.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in automation testing.
• Proficient in SQL for writing complex queries and data validation.
• Practical experience with ETL test automation tools.
• Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Optional:

• Knowledge of the Snowflake tool
• Experience in test coordination
