As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you will be working for our client, a leading IT company focused on optimizing and maintaining high-performance database environments across the international region. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, scalability, and efficiency of critical Oracle databases, supporting business growth and operational excellence.
Your main responsibilities:
- Perform performance tuning of databases and applications (SQL) to enhance efficiency.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Oracle database instances tailored to business needs.
- Conduct root cause analysis of production-related database issues to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution, and support for internal customers and development teams.
- Collaborate with application development teams to review, design, and implement optimal data models.
- Test, validate, and deploy performance and resource optimization solutions.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with hands-on Linux/Unix database management.
- Strong proficiency in Oracle DB technologies and tools, including database development.
- Experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and managing high-volume OLTP systems.
- Knowledge of Data Guard replication solutions and Oracle best practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with a proven ability to work effectively with development and engineering teams.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience managing terabyte-scale databases.
- Knowledge of schema management and index optimization.
- Certifications or additional skills related to Oracle DBA best practices.
Language Required for the role:
- Communicative proficiency in English.
