Senior Linux Engineer

As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading provider of financial transaction processing solutions. You will play a vital role in a data center migration project supporting payment card acceptance and issuer processing systems. Your expertise will help ensure seamless application transitions for mission-critical business functions, fueling digital payment innovation and reliability.

Your main responsibilities:

• Lead Linux server administration, configuration, and maintenance for application migration projects on RedHat and Oracle Linux platforms

• Manage application servers including JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, OHS, WildFly, and Springboot to optimize performance and security

• Automate deployment and operational tasks using tools such as Rundeck and Ansible

• Develop and ensure infrastructure availability, quality, and resilience, minimizing downtime in support of critical business operations

• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve system performance issues, supporting incident management and resolution

• Collaborate closely with application and middleware teams to facilitate BAU activities and migration milestones

• Contribute to infrastructure build, testing, and environment migration efforts, including access management and troubleshooting

• Produce comprehensive documentation of environments and processes using Confluence

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably in financial or transaction processing environments

• Strong knowledge of Linux OS (RedHat, Oracle Linux) and application servers (Jboss, Tomcat, Apache, OHS, WildFly, Springboot)

• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Rundeck and Ansible

• Proficiency in scripting with Bash and Python

• Deep understanding of cryptography issues (PKI, PGP) and IP network management

• Current RHCE certification (considered an advantage)

• Ability to quickly assimilate complex infrastructure concepts and think analytically to solve problems efficiently

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with performance analytics and monitoring tools

• Knowledge of load balancing, TLS, and system resilience techniques

• Excellent communication skills in Polish and English, with the ability to collaborate across multiple countries and technical teams

Language Required for the role: Fluent Polish and English (spoken and written)
