As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution undergoing large-scale digital transformation. You will contribute to the development and enhancement of mission-critical banking applications, focusing on building scalable, secure microservices and APIs. The project centers around modernizing legacy systems, integrating cloud-based solutions, and supporting a fast-paced agile environment. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative and innovative team that values code quality, automation, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated industry.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot

• Building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

• Integrating with AWS-based cloud infrastructure

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodology

• Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices

• Writing unit and integration tests using Jest and Testing Library

• Monitoring and troubleshooting application issues proactively

• Documenting development processes using Confluence and JIRA

• Automating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible

• Contributing to ongoing improvements in system performance and security

  
  

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Solid hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot

• Strong background in building RESTful APIs and microservices

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Ansible

• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• A proactive and self-motivated attitude

• The ability to work both independently and in a team

• Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities

• Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  
  

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native application design

• Knowledge of front-end development using React

• Experience with Jest and Testing Library for frontend testing

• Exposure to enterprise-scale financial services projects
