Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, one of the largest financial institutions in Europe, developing modern technological solutions that support the digital transformation of banking. You will be involved in building and maintaining scalable, microservice-based applications that support key business processes. The role includes developing new features, optimizing existing systems, and collaborating with project teams and architects to ensure high code quality and system stability used by millions of customers worldwide.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing and enhancing backend applications using Java technology

• Implementing microservices with Spring Framework and REST API

• Writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito

• Designing and optimizing database structures in PostgreSQL

• Configuring and maintaining asynchronous communication using RabbitMQ and Kafka

• Collaborating with development teams within an Agile environment

• Using Git for version control and code management

• Documenting processes and APIs according to AsyncAPI standards

• Analyzing technical issues and proposing performance improvement solutions

• Ensuring high code quality through continuous integration and code reviews

  
  

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Advanced knowledge of Java programming language

• Strong experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Cloud)

• Excellent understanding of REST API design and implementation

• Experience writing unit tests with JUnit and Mockito

• Strong skills in PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization

• Experience working with RabbitMQ or other message brokers

• Proficiency with Git version control system

• Knowledge of microservices and distributed architecture principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex systems

• Effective teamwork and communication skills in an Agile environment

  
  

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience working with Apache Kafka

• Knowledge of AsyncAPI specification

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
