Senior Java Developer

Localization: Warsaw, hybrid model (3 days x week in the office)

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading provider of financial infrastructure services supporting the Swiss financial market.The project involves building and maintaining mission-critical post-trade processing systems used globally by major financial institutions. You will contribute to the development of secure, high-performance Java-based applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. Your role will be key in ensuring operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence across financial systems that power modern securities trading and settlement.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-performance Java-based back-end solutions for post-trade processing

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal security standards

• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, reliable software architectures

• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams using frameworks such as SCRUM and SAFe

• Optimize database performance and maintain resilient data solutions

• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and system design sessions

• Integrate with internal and external messaging systems using event-driven architecture

• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure uptime and reliability

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices and development tools

• Support the evolution of post-trade infrastructure aligned with global financial trends

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 10+ years of experience developing multi-threaded, low-latency Java applications (Java 8+, Spring Boot)

• Strong knowledge of SQL, Hibernate, and performance optimization techniques

• Experience working with messaging protocols and event-driven systems

• Solid understanding of financial market operations and post-trade processes

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration

• Proficiency in system integration and designing scalable software solutions

• Strong analytical and debugging skills in high-stakes production environments

• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
